When it comes to moral and political matters, most people are activists and spokespersons for what they believe is right. Whether republican or democrat, most people you see are fighting for what they believe is moral.
Here’s the problem: Who’s to say who is right and who is wrong when we are all just doing what is right in our own sight? There’s no final authority or final opinion.
If you don’t have a chapter and verse for your moral outlook, if you don’t have revelation from God about your political opinions, then what is it worth? You’re just doing what you think is right or what someone else told you is right.
In fact, there is not even such a thing as right and wrong without God anyway. There’s just people making stuff up as they go along, moving with the sway of society, doing what is right in their own sight.
If you want to take a stand on morality or politics, make sure you’ve got revelation from God first. Otherwise, what’s your basis for your opinion?
Judges 17:6 (NKJV) In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes.
