Natural Resources – Part 2 (Quick Read)

If you ask any Christian whether they want to see the power of God manifest in their life, they will of course say yes. If that’s you, let me tell you that you can see the power of God manifest wherever you need it, but natural thinking isn’t going to do it for you! We need to be spiritually minded.

Do you want to see the power of God manifest in you? You’ve got to lose the natural thinking. You can’t take inventory of all your natural resources, think that you are limited to those things, and yet see the power of God manifest in your life. You need to realize that you are not limited by what natural earthly things can do for you. You are limited only by the confines of the Almighty power in you. God has shared all His power and resources with us. He has placed them inside of us and they are available to us who believe. You need to get your head wrapped around these resources (Ephesians 1:18).

Natural thinking is when you’re only taking earthly things into account. Spiritual thinking is when you take inventory of all the spiritual resources Jesus has put inside of you. And that’s the kind of thinking that will manifest the life and peace of God from within you!

Romans 8:6 (NKJV) For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Of course, we could sit around, crying about what the doctor said, what circumstances aren’t doing for us, or how somebody treated us. But what does that mean to a heavenly being, such as yourself? All that natural thinking will only hinder your progress. On the other hand, we could start considering how well we’ve been treated by the Lord, and what infinite potential and resources we have been given through Jesus! Thinking like that is dangerous — you can get someone raised from the dead thinking like that. You can see bodily transformation thinking like that. You can prosper in a famine thinking like that. 

When you decide to stop thinking naturally and start acknowledging the good things you have in Christ, watch out, life and peace is coming.
