When you talk about healing, being empowered to wealth, raising the dead, or the working of any miracle, your average Christian (and even some people that aren’t Christians) will say, “Oh, I certainly believe that God can do all of those things.” But did you know that even the devil and demons believe that God can do all the above? God doesn’t want you to believe that He “can” do these things. God wants you to believe that Jesus provided these things, and that you have the right to these things through Him.
Think about how you got saved. Did you get saved because you believed that God had the power to make you a new creation? Of course not! Even if Jesus never came, God would have the power to make you a new creation. The kind of belief that saves, and the kind of belief that receives miracles from God within you, is believing that you have the right to these things through Jesus!
Can God work miracles? Yes. Can God save? Yes. But only Jesus gives you the right to these things. And it is only through believing this that you receive the power of God.
It is wholly insufficient to believe that God can. It is perfectly sufficient to believe that Jesus gives you the right to receive it!
John 1:12 (NKJV) But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right [the power, the authority] to become children of God, to those who believe in His name…
